Williamson, 21, has been on the Pelicans for three seasons, but has battled injuries in his young career. He has played in just 85 games through the first three years of his career and did not play at all during the 2021-2022 season.
In his career, Williamson has averaged 25.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
The Pelicans have shown a willingness to build around Williamson despite the injuries. They will hope that their star can stay healthy this upcoming season, as the team tries to make it past the play-in games.
