Risacher has played pro basketball in France since 2021. He has gained experience and is now in the 2024 NBA Draft.
He debuted in 2021 with Metropolitans 92 and also played in EuroLeague. He then moved to ASVEL. Risacher signed his official pro contract with ASVEL in 2023. He was then loaned to JL Bourg. In league play, he averaged 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Following the season with JL Bourg, Risacher declared for the 2024 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a top five pick.
Zaccharie Risacher Strengths
Risacher has solid size for a wing player. He stands at 6-foot-9 and 210 pounds. There is room for him to add muscle to his frame, which could help his stock. He also has a solid wingspan, making him an intriguing draft prospect that could have several fits.
The area that Risacher has improved the most is in his shooting ability. He can score from the perimeter well, specifically this past season. Risacher is best at shooting off the catch. He can space the floor and run around screens before catching the ball and shooting at a high percentage.
Especially for his size, Risacher can handle the ball decently well. He won’t break down many defenses in the halfcourt with his ability to create separation, but he can handle decently and push the ball in transition. He can be trusted to bring the ball up the court and protect it most of the time.
Zaccharie Risacher Weaknesses
While his shooting has improved, his free throws still leave a lot to be desired. He shoots just 70.6 percent for his pro career. While his game won’t usually warrant him a lot of free throw attempts, it is unusual that he improved his shooting from the rest of the floor, but not fro the free throw line.
Risacher doesn’t finish well at the basket, especially for a player of his size. He needs to be able to finish through contact better and continue to take good shots. If he doesn’t improve his finishing, he will likely just make an impact on the offensive end by spacing the floor.
Whether creating for himself or others, it doesn’t happen very often. He doesn’t have the ball-handling to beat his man off the dribble often. Usually, he scores when a teammate sets him up. Teams may use him as a player that sits in the corner to space things out unless he can show the ability to generate offense.
Projected Draft Range: Top 10 Pick
