The 2022-2023 NBA regular season is about halfway over, and some teams are already looking at players they can grab in the yearly free agency extravaganza. Here are all the important dates to know for the rest of the NBA season and upcoming offseason.
February 17-22: NBA All-Star Break
March 1: Playoff Eligibility Waiver Deadline
April 9: End of 2022-2023 NBA regular season
April 10 (before 3:00pm ET): Rosters for NBA Playoffs/Play-ins must be set
April 11-14: NBA Play-in Tournament
April 15: NBA Playoffs begin
April 29-30 or May 1-2: NBA Conference Semifinals begin
May 14-15 or May 16-17: NBA Conference Finals begin
June 1-June 9 (plus June 12-18 if necessary): NBA Finals
June 22: 2023 NBA Draft
June 30 (6:00pm ET): Free agent negotiations may begin (i.e. players can begin talks with teams, but contracts cannot be officially signed)
July 6 (12:01pm ET): NBA free agency officially begins
Oct. 24: 2023-2024 NBA regular season begins
