The 2024 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Tristan Da Silva 2024 NBA Draft Profile.
Tristan Da Silva Background

Da Silva proved to be a good college player over his last two seasons at Colorado. Now he is in the 2024 NBA Draft.
As an unranked recruit out of Germany, Da Silva signed with Colorado. He played minimally in his first season on campus, but averaged 9.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Da Silva really took a step forward as a junior, when he put up 15.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. They failed to make the tournament that season, but did make it during Da Silva’s senior year. He averaged 16 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in his final season.
Following a solid senior season for the Buffaloes, Da Silva declared for the 2024 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a first round pick.
Tristan Da Silva Strengths
Da Silva is a tough driver who can finish at the basket well. He uses his strength to get into the lane and then is able to finish through contact decently well. While he won’t be the best at finishing with a dunk, he has shown that he can finish under the basket really well. His quickness is too much for big men, while other players struggle with his strength.
He can hep space the floor at the next level with his outside shooting. Da Silva hit 39.5 percent of his 3-pointers last season. While that was the highest shooting percentage of his career, he has shown improvement as his playing time increased. He can be a bit more consistent, but defenders can’t leave him alone all the time or he’ll make them pay.
He has some position versatility. As mentioned, he can take advantage of smaller or bigger defenders based on his own skillset. Defensively, he can guard multiple positions. He may never be the best defender, but he has the capability to guard wings and small-ball forwards.
Tristan Da Silva Weaknesses
While he has good body control, Da Silva doesn’t have the greatest athleticism. He doesn’t often finish plays with a dunk and can struggle to show his speed. The average speed impacts him on both sides of the floor. There will be athletic mismatches for him at the NBA level.
For a player of his size, his rebounding wasn’t the greatest. He averaged 5.1 as a senior, but that number could’ve been better. His lack of athleticism and relative size held him back, but he still could have fought for more rebounds. Da Silva can work on boxing out and then high-pointing the ball, something that will be more important for him than others in this class because of who he will be going up against at the next level.
His straight-forward drives are nice, but Da Silva should not be counted on to create his own offense routinely. He likely can carve out a role by stretching the floor, cutting and a few straight-line drives, but that may be him maxing things out. Da Silva plays best when he is getting set up.
