The Thunder took care of Nikola Jokic and company, winning 119-107. Several Thunder players did extremely well in this surprising upset. What’s even more surprising is that the boys in blue did this in Denver. This is the Thunder VS. Nuggets recap.
Isaiah Roby Performance
Roby had a night to remember in this one. He went for a nice 26 points, seven boards, five dimes, two steals and two blocks on 9/13 from the field, 4/5 from three and 4/7 from the line. Not to mention he only turned it over once. Roby has been lighting it up over the last few weeks. Over the last two weeks, he has been averaging 13.3 points, 5.8 boards, three assists, one steal and one block on 55% from the field and 80% from the line. Ever since he entered the starting lineup, he has been showing OKC fans the upside that he possesses and he’s only going to get better as he plays more.
Tre Mann Performance
Mann finally slowed down just a tad this game, going for 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals on 6/13 from the field, 0/3 from three and 1/2 from the line. He didn’t have a prolific night, but he still scored a little bit and grabbed some boards. He didn’t hit a three this time and he missed a free throw, but he doesn’t do that often so expect him to right the ship in the next one. Over the last week, he’s been averaging 15.3 points, 4.3 boards, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.7 turnovers on 45% from the field and 67% from the line. Mann has been playing very well over the last couple of weeks and there is no sign of him slowing down. Expect him to continue lighting it up.
Olivier Sarr Performance
Sarr didn’t have the greatest game ever, going for six points, three boards, two assists and two turnovers on 3/5 from the field. Sarr has just been reintroduced into the rotation after being a non-factor for much of the season. Over the last two weeks after coming back into the rotation, he has been averaging 5.5 points, 2.8 boards, one assist, and 0.5 turnovers a game on 56% from the field and 50% from the line. He’s not going to be a huge part of the rotation, but he’s doing some things sometimes. Hopefully he can play more because of the shot-blocking/rim protection ability that he possesses.
Aleksej Pokusevski Performance
Poku has been a revelation since reentering the rotation. This time was no different as he stuffed the stat-sheet once more; he put up nine points, 11 boards, three dimes, two steals and two swats on 4/9 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point line. Poku has been very good over the last several weeks, much like his partner, Roby. Over the last two weeks, he has been averaging 11 points, 6.8 boards, 2.5 assists, one steal, one block, and 1.5 turnovers on 48% from the field and 67% from the line. On the season, he’s averaging just 5.9 points, 4.5 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks but now that he’s back in the rotation, he has been playing at the level in which he displayed major potential in his rookie season.
