The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to trade Al Horford to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Danny Green, Terrance Ferguson, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Thunder also acquired a 2025 first round pick and the draft rights to Vasilije Micic and Théo Maledon.

Horford averaged 11.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season but wasn’t the piece the 76ers expected him to be next to Joel Embiid. The trade clears Philadelphia of Horford’s 4-year $109,000,000 deal he signed last season.
The 76ers will get back Danny Green, who the Thunder recently acquired from the champion Los Angeles Lakers. Green will be in the final year of his contract and provide solid shooting, defense and leadership for the 76ers.
The Oklahoma City Thunder further committed to their rebuild and add even more picks to their collection of draft assets. Horford, despite his contract can bring a veteran presence to the young Thunder locker room.
