The Pelicans have agreed to a sign-and-trade with the Charlotte Hornets for 26-year-old combo guard, Devonte’ Graham. The deal is worth $47 million over four years. In return the Hornets will receive New Orleans’ 2022 lottery-protected pick.
They also signed veteran combo guard/forward Garrett Temple, stealing him away from the Chicago Bulls. Temple’s deal will be for a reported three years.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter.

Temple has been a notorious journeyman, bouncing between NBA teams and G-League teams since entering the league in 2009. Most recently he played with the Bulls, averaging 7.6 points per game in 56 appearances.
The 2021-2022 season will be Graham’s fourth in the NBA. His best season was in 2020, when he averaged 18.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. Graham will now surround Zion Williamson as a second scoring option.
