George is a six-time All Star and five-time All-NBA forward. “PG-13” also has made the All-Defensive team four times. He spent his last two seasons in Oklahoma City before being lured to the Clippers to compete for a title with Kawhi Leonard.
A dangerous scorer and a much-improved defensive player throughout his nine seasons, George began the season on the bench due to offseason shoulder surgery. Last year he put up 28 points per game playing with the notoriously ball-dominant Russell Westbrook. He also led the league in steals at 2.2 per game.
Leonard, George and the new-look Clippers hope to bring the franchise its first title. Owner Steve Ballmer has been vocal about wanting to unseat LeBron and the Lakers as Los Angeles’ premiere basketball team.
The Clippers continue their season Wednesday against Houston, which may be his first game. If not, he will see action on Thursday in New Orleans.
