The NBA has released the first half of the 2020-2021 regular season schedule.
The first half of the NBA season will tip-off Dec. 22, 2020 and end March 4, 2021. The All-Star break will take place March 5-10. The second half of the season will span from March 11 to May 16 and games will be announced at a later date.
Due to the altered scheduling for this season, teams will play 72 regular season games, rather than the traditional 82 game season. The NBA has also altered scheduling to reduce travel as much as possible.
May 18-21 will be reserved for the play-in tournament for the last two playoff spots in each conference. Immediately following the play-in tournament, the NBA playoffs will begin on May 22.
Over 140 games will be nationally televised in the first half of the NBA season.
The NBA season will tip-off on December 22, 2020 with The Golden State Warriors visiting the Brooklyn Nets followed by the Champion Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Los Angeles Clippers.
