Bamba was a high draft pick out of the University of Texas, going sixth overall to the Magic in the 2018 NBA Draft. He has played in Orlando ever since, never even joining their G League affiliate, as many young players have to do.
He picked a good year to have his best season, as Bamba set career marks in points, blocks, steals, rebounds, assists and minutes per game, among others. The Magic started Bamba in 69 of the 71 games in which he played, which was also a career high. The namesake of Sheck Wes’ hit will stay with Orlando on a fairly lucrative deal.
