This season, Rubio averaged 8.6 points, 6.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 38.8% for Minnesota. In addition, Rubio started the majority of the season and averaged over 26 minutes per game. Cleveland will be Rubio’s fourth different team within the last three seasons.
Taurean Prince was sent to the Cavaliers when they acquired Jarrett Allen from the Nets. Prince is 27-years-old and averaged 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 40.1% and 40% from three.
For Cleveland, their backcourt depth was lacking last season. Rubio will finally give the Cavs some backup point guard help. His experience should help Darius Garland develop further.
Prince to Minnesota will help the Timberwolves’ wing scoring. Prince can catch fire quick at times, he had several big performances in Cleveland last season.
