The Boston Celtics are acquiring Mike Muscala via trade ahead of the trade deadline. Oklahoma City is sending over combo center/forward Muscala in return for power forward Justin Jackson and two second round picks.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Muscala was the 44th pick in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft out of Bucknell. He was originally drafted to the Dallas Mavericks, but never played a game with the team. Instead, he made his NBA debut with the Atlanta Hawks.
He’s spent his last four seasons with the Thunder, racking up 168 games played and grabbing a shooting percentage of almost 44 percent during his time there. So far this season, Muscala has averaged 39.4 percent on three pointers and a 43.8 shooting percentage overall.
