In four seasons with the team, McMillan posted a 183-136 record, but failed to win a playoff series. He didn’t find postseason success, but he did help the team move on from Paul George, while still making the playoffs in all four seasons.
McMillan has been a head coach in the NBA for 16 seasons, compiling a 661-588 record. He signed a one-year extension on August 12 of this year.
The search for a new coach will begin now for the Pacers, who are rumored to reach out to Mike D’Antoni if the Rockets fail to re-sign him according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
