The NBA Draft is here and teams are making moves. Draft day trades are a yearly tradition and some teams have already made deals. According to reports, the Atlanta Hawks and the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade picks. The Hawks will receive the No.4 pick and the Pelicans will receive the No.8, No. 17 and No. 35 picks in return. The Hawks will also receive Solomon Hill, the No.57 pick and a future second round pick.

The Pelicans received the fourth pick in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers sent the fourth pick and players Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart to the Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis. Since then, many have wondered what the Pelicans will do the pick. After inquiries from several teams, the Pelicans found a trade partner in the Hawks.
Wojnarowski also reported that the Hawks are pursuing De’Andre Hunter from Virginia with the pick. The Hawks considered two wing players in Hunter and Duke’s Cam Reddish but are said to prefer Hunter. So, there is a strong possibility Hunter lands with the Hawks.
