Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has entered the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols. Morant has tested positive for COVID-19, but is fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.

Since Morant is fully vaccinated, to return, he will have to be asymptomatic and present two negative PCR tests in a 24-hour period. Unvaccinated players must meet both of the previously mentioned criteria, along with a mandatory 10-day isolation period.
Morant was the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State University. He has since become an NBA superstar, averaging 17.8, 19.1 and now 24.1 points per game in his three NBA seasons (the latter through just 19 games). He is also averaging 7.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game.
