Jae Crowder was a part of a huge three-team trade ahead of the NBA trade deadline, after already being traded from the Suns to the Nets in another trade that sent Kevin Durant to Phoenix. The Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets are all involved in the trade.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that shortly after acquiring Crowder, the Nets were already looking to trade him away ahead of the trade deadline on Thursday.
In the trade, the Nets received five second round picks in return for Crowder. The Pacers received Jordan Nwora, George Hill and Serge Ibaka from the Bucks and two second round picks. The Nets will receive just Jae Crowder.
Hill is returning to the team for which he played the longest, from 2011-2016. Nwora, who won the NBA Finals with the Bucks and Ibaka, who won the title in 2019 with the Raptors, are also headed to Indiana after essentially being flipped for just one player. Crowder goes to the team that beat him in the 2021 NBA Finals, while he was a Sun.
