Free agent guard Chris Paul plans to sign with the San Antonio Spurs according to Chris Haynes. It will be a one-year, $11 million deal according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Paul, 39, was waived by the Warriors earlier on Sunday. He averaged 9.2 points and 6.8 assists per game in Golden State last season. In his career, he has averages of 17.5 points and 9.4 assists per game.
According to Haynes, Paul talked things over with San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich. He will pair with Victor Wembenyama next season for the Spurs.
