The Indiana Pacers have agreed to a trade that will send Buddy Hield to the Philadelphia 76ers for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and three second-round picks. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.
Hield, 31, is averaging just 12 points per game this season, which is his lowest mark since his rookie season. He is also putting up 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
With the 76ers, Hield will help stretch the floor. He can help their run for a title if Joel Embiid can return from his knee injury. They are currently 30-20 and fifth in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers are sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 29-23 record. They will get some depth in Korkmaz and Morris, as well as some picks to continue building with. Korkmaz is averaging 2.5 points, while Morris is averaging 6.7 points per game.
