The Brooklyn Net have fired head coach Jacque Vaughn after a 21-33 record this season. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.
The Nets are currently in 11th place, which has them 2.5 games behind the play-in tournament spot. A change in leadership could help them get to the playoffs through the play-in tournament.
Vaughn has been an NBA head coach in six different seasons with the Magic and Nets. He was the interim coach for the Nets in 2019-2020. Overall, he has a career record of 129-226. The Nets did make the playoffs under Vaughn last season.
