Udoka is a former Nets’ assistant who many of the players on the Celtics are familiar with from his time with Team USA. He will take over for Brad Stevens, who was the former coach and now executive for the Celtics.
As a player, Udoka was an undrafted free agent in the 2000 NBA Draft. He spent time overseas and with the Knicks, Trail Blazers, Spurs and Kings.
Following his playing career, Udoka has been an assistant coach. He has spent time with the Spurs, the 76ers and the Nets as a coach in his career.
