First reported by Adrian Wojnarowski, Memphis is sending Iguodala to the Heat. He has agreed to a two-year, $30 million extension. This trade helps to bolster their wing depth. In addition, it adds championship experience that the Heat need. Justise Winslow is also a part of the package to the Grizzlies.
Though, Iguodala seems to be nearing the end of his career. Now, at 36 years old, he has averaged career lows in both points and minutes per game.
Andre Iguodala has come under fire from his own team recently. After refusing to play, younger players, including Ja Morant, have been tweeting about Iguodala’s attitude. Now, Iguodala is now on a team that has a shot. The Heat have surprised people this year as they have far outperformed what was expected of them. They currently are currently the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference.
Iguodala is a three-time NBA champion, all of those championships came with the Golden State Warriors.
