The new Super Smash Brothers-type fighting game, Multiversus is finally coming out. The Multiversus Open Beta will allow for players to play the game by earning a drop on Twitch. This has the fanbase buzzing but wondering if this will last? Will Multiversus be Free to Play?

Multiversus is seeking to take advantage of the time that Super Smash Brothers is no longer releasing new content. While they are not the first to attempt this during the juggernaut’s break, they may end up being the most successful. There are a lot of popular characters that Warner Brothers owns that can be used in this universe. The roster both revealed and rumored, is very larger.
From Shaggy to Superman and even Jake from Adventure Time, this game brings with it a great host of characters. They also brought in good music and the real actors or voice actors for every character. This was something that Nickelodeon’s version was missing.
But what will really make this game one to watch is the cost of it. Multiversus is Free to Play.
That said there are things like a battle pass and a Founder’s Pack that people can buy to support the game. Here is what is in each one along with the pricing.

free to play would imply you pay nothing at all
free to play implies you pay nothing at all not 40$

It’s not free if you have to pay $39.99 to play…? Am I missing something
It is Free to Play. If you watch 1 hour of someone playing it on Twitch you get a free drop. Also once the game officially comes out (not in open beta) it will be free to download.
So, AFTER YOU PAY, it’s free to play, is that it?
What game is NOT like this?
No, on the 26th it will be free to play. Right now for early access you either pay $40 or you watch multiversus for an hour on twitch and get a drop giving you a code to play for free.
