Marsh, 24, is in his second season at the MLB level and has a .239 career batting average. This season he is batting .226 with eight home runs and 37 RBIs.
With the Phillies, Marsh will hope to help them as they make a playoff push. The Phillies currently have a 55-47 record and sit in third place in the NL East.
O’Hoppe is the return for the Angels as a 22-year-old catcher. He has batted .272 over four minor league seasons.
The Angels have not lived up to expectations this season and appear to be trading MLB players for prospects to compete in the future.
