Melancon has been in the major leagues since 2009, starting out as a Yankee for that season and the next. He, then, bounced around to the Astros, Red Sox, Pirates, Nationals, Giants, Braves and spent his 2021 campaign with the Padres.
He was the NL Reliever of the Year in 2015 and was the NL saves leader in 2021 with San Diego. Melancon has also been selected to the All-Star Game four times, including 2021. He will now try and be a part of the Diamondbacks’ turnaround
