Drew Pomeranz is going to really help this Brewers rotation in this rugged NL Central race. The 30-year-old southpaw is struggling this year, posting a 5.68 ERA through 21 games this season. However, sometimes playoff motivation and a fresh start could help a player turn things around. It’ll be interesting to see how Pomeranz performs with his new club.
29-year-old Ray Black has also been traded to Milwaukee. He is a relief pitcher that is currently in the triple-A. Through 23 games, Black has a 5.16 ERA with 22 2/3 innings pitched.
Mauricio Dubon played in two big league games, so not much can be told of him. However, he did slash .297/.333/.475 in triple-A San Antonio through 98 games. The Giants got a great prospect here, who can play the middle infield along with centerfield. It is a possibility the 25-year-old will get some at-bats with the Giants this season.
