The Rays got what they were looking for at the deadline in Aguilar. The power-hitting righty started the season off slow, and is slashing .225/.320/.374 on the season. However, he has picked things up in July with a line of .298/.346/.574 through 21 games. The Rays would like to see their new first basemen keep up with his current July status moving forward. His 2018 line was .274/.352/.539, so he has the potential to hit and get hot for this team down the stretch.
Milwaukee also added a missing piece to their squad: another solid pitcher. Faria could be used to start games, come out of the bullpen or even be an opener. He has a 2.70 ERA currently through just 10 innings this season. He picthed an inning against the Yankees on the fourth of July where all three outs came via strikeout.. It’ll be interesting to see how the Brewers use their new arm.
