Marvel Snap is changing the way players obtain cards. In Marvel Snap, players can’t actually grab the cards that they want right away. Players need to upgrade their current cards in order to increase their “Collection Level”. As a player increases their Collection Level, they gain access to new cards as well as more credits and boosters. Cards exist inside certain Collection Level thresholds, colloquially called “pools”, and once a player passes a certain Collection Level they gain access to the next pool of cards.

The Collection Level style of card acquisition adds a sort of natural balance in the game for new players. Players in the same level will only play against cards they know they can grab. This helps players not only get used to the game, but it helps lower level players remain competitive as they play against familiar decks.
Collection Levels
Below are the Collection Levels where players will find certain cards. Once a player is inside a certain Collection Level they will begin to see cards from that pool in when they open mystery cards.
Pool 1: Collection Level 18 – 214
Pool 2: Collection Level 222 – 474
Pool 3: Collection Level 474+
It is important to note that cards that are earned through the Season Pass are available in Pool 3. They a appear as Mystery cards shortly after the following Season Pass concludes. On the other hand, the starting deck cards are available immediately after completing the tutorial.
