After a long year of Magic in 2021, players are getting ready for the next big things in 2022. In recent years Wizards has held short streams and shows to highlight the plans for the upcoming year. It’s in these streams where players find out what new sets are on the way, where those sets will take players, and the plans for new supplemental products like Commander decks. For 2022, Wizards of the coast has decided on a Magic Showcase 2021 stream to lay out the blueprint for Magic: the Gathering in 2022.

A New Year of Magic
The Magic Showcase 2021 stream announcement popped up last week on Twitter, to the excitement of fans all over. The showcase stream is slated for August 24, at 11 Est. The stream will take place on Magic’s official Twitch channel, where audiences can tune in to find out what’s in store for the famous TCG. Players can expect plenty of exciting new announcements during the stream, like the announcement of new set names as well as new potential Universe Beyond titles.

Currently players know that there are at least two future sets with websites tied to them. Both Dominaria and Kamigawa have URL’s that are registered under the Wizards’ banner. Because of these findings, it almost confirms audiences are heading to those planes in the very near future. Some players are also excited to learn more about any potential third-party cards like the Walking Dead commander cards and the D&D cards. All of these hopes and expectations are going to be confirmed later today during the Magic Showcase 2021 stream.
