Initially, the new League of Legends champion was thought to be Isolde, the love of Viego. While she is connected in some way, it has actually been revealed that Gwen will be the next League of Legends champion. It seems as though she is connected to the doll of Isolde but that is all that is currently known. Now people will be wondering when will Gwen be on the PBE?

The last champion to come out was Viego and he came out in late January. When looking at the recent champion releases, the League of Legends team had been going at a pace of about one per month. This was to make sure that they could fit the six new champions per year quota they put on themselves to finish up 2020.
It seems as though League fans will be getting a new champion more like every two months. This is due to the knowledge that they plan on releasing one new champion (this does not include reworks) for every role and two for the mid lane. That means six new champions and spread out that is one every two months. Since Viego was in January, it feels as though Gwen should have her release date sometime in March.
When looking at the 2021 League of Legends Patch Schedule, there are two possible dates for Isolde to come out. Either with Patch 11.7 on March 31 or Patch 11.8 on April 14. Both of these dates would make sense.
If one had to guess, Patch 11.7 on March 31 would be when she hits the PBE and then her release would come after with Patch 11.8 on April 14.
Either way, she looks to be a big part of 2021 for League of Legends and Riot Games. It will be interesting to see if Gwen will be connected to “The Ruined King” the new game coming from Riot Games and Airship Syndicate, the first League of Legends RPG. For now though, fans can look forward to seeing Gwen on the PBE soon.
