Last weekend was easily one of the most unexpected weekends of 2021. The LCS was full of upsets as some of the moves lower-tier teams have made are certainly helping. With the top five looking vulnerable for the first time in weeks, these Power Rankings are surely going to shake up as well. With that, before Week 7 begins, here is a look at where each LCS team stacks up.

10. CLG (Down 1)
One would think that starting off the weekend with a win over TSM would be enough to help this team start to find their momentum. Instead, they lost to FlyQuest and Dignitas and released a pretty worrisome video. In this video, they said the team would be having some changes and one has already been made. Damonte is in with Pobelter out. Most of the teams that have recently made moves have found success so maybe this move will be the key to CLG’s race to the playoffs?
9. Immortals (Down 3)
Last week Immortals were the gatekeepers. Now that gate has been busted down with Immortals being left behind. A bad 0-3 weekend plus the rise of teams like FlyQuest and Golden Guardians is enough to push Immortals way down. They are still much better than CLG which isn’t much but better than nothing. While they still seem pretty safe for the playoffs, they will need at least three more wins to lock in and the way they are playing, that could be a tough ask.
8. Dignitas (Down 1)
The win over CLG was certainly a relief for a team that has struggled mightily. Dignitas are really leaning on their early-season record as they will likely make playoffs because of it. That said, if they lose out in this third round-robin then there is still a small chance they miss the playoffs. Either way, Dignitas have to start finding some positives outside of Neo and aphromoo. Otherwise, their time in the playoffs will be very short-lived.
7. FlyQuest (Up 3)
If anyone would have said that the FlyQuest Academy would be the answer to their struggles, most people would have laughed at them. Sure winning a game wouldn’t have surprised anyone, but a 3-0? That was very unexpected. Not to mention it was a sort of revival for players like Kumo and Diamond after struggling in their previous chances. Now FlyQuest own the eighth seed and have a chance in this third round-robin to push even higher. Whether they continue to find success or not will still be worth questioning but at this point, it seems like things have turned around.
6. Team Liquid (Down 1)
A 2-1 weekend and the return of Alphari are certainly good signs for Team Liquid. That said, their wins were against two of the bottom three teams and their loss was to the upstart Golden Guardians. TL are still in a tie for third and only three games back but they will need to see some major improvement to move up this list and show that they are a true title contender.
5. Golden Guardians (Up 3)
There is likely bias here but that will not be apologized for. This team has made a lot of good moves and dug itself out of a nearly impossible situation to only be two games back from a playoff spot. That said, they are going to likely need to win at least six or seven of their next nine games to guarantee a playoff spot with FlyQuest playing well and Immortals still five games up. Golden Guardians are a fun team and they will make the top teams sweat for the rest of the year while being setup well for 2022.
4. Cloud9 (Down 1)
Cloud9 are clearly not the team they were this Spring and it is starting to take its toll. They are certainly not a bad team but they are not likely to challenge TSM, 100 Thieves or potentially even Evil Geniuses at this point. According to the team they are not playing at even 50% of what they were at MSI. It is sad because they were able to take down some of the best teams in the world yet they are 9-9 this summer. It would seem that the summer curse for C9 is becoming a real thing.
3. TSM (Down 1)
TSM did not look like a team vying for first this weekend. Any fan who argues differently would be delusional. That said, they were trying out new things and pushing players like PoE out of their comfort zones. For that reason and a win over a surging Golden Guardians team, TSM can stay near the top. With a relatively easy weekend coming up as well, they should look to climb up these standings again rather quickly.
2. Evil Geniuses (Up 2)
#LIVEEVIL is living up to their name as the villains of the LCS have won six games in a row. They took out 100 Thieves and C9 and showed that the claim that EG TGH Writer, Michael Termini, made on Hotline League is legitimate. They are absolutely one of the best teams in the LCS and have found a way to stop being the coinflip that everyone was worried about. This team is fun to watch and one to be feared as they work their way to the top.
1. 100 Thieves (Even)
Yes, 100 Thieves lost to GG and EG this weekend but the best team in the league is allowed to have a back weekend. It happens. If this becomes more than just a bad weekend though, then Thieves’ fans should be weary. A win of TSM in convincing fashion helped remind everyone of the team they are. Now there are four teams within two games of them and still nine games to go. For 100 Thieves, it is much closer than they would like but if they can still grab the first seed for playoffs, weekends like the last one will be forgotten quickly.
