Easily the most sought after player in the west, Perkz is making a massive change not only for his life, or just Cloud9, but all of western esports. Many believe that this will up the legitimacy of the LCS and truly challenge other teams to step up. Cloud9 are even more of a powerhouse than they were just a season ago.
This comes after Perkz made it clear that he wanted to go back to mid lane. The problem was Caps just had one of the best seasons any mid laner has ever had. This was not just for the LEC but for the entire world. There were many that believed he was one of the top three to five players at Worlds 2020.
Now Perkz will have his chance to prove that G2 made a mistake in not letting him go back to his original position. Sure, G2 and Ocelote will make a pretty penny with his buyout, but now they might have a legitimate contender in the LCS. There were rumors that Fnatic were looking at Perkz but G2 blocked the deal. This is likely because they would rather face him at Worlds than consistently in the LEC and especially on their rival team.
