Taking a look around social media, people are seeing the same name pop up all around. Marvel Snap is the newest game to enter the gaming scene and prospective players may not know exactly what they are getting into. Marvel Snap is a collectable card game that focuses on the massive Marvel universe to bring a brand new experience to players. Battlers face off in a one-on-one match, pitting their decks against one another to determine the victor.

Marvel Snap brings a unique take to the popular genre. The first thing players may notice is just how quick games are in Marvel Snap. Each match consists of just six rounds. Some games may go longer, based on the certain Locations that appear in the game. Along with lightning fast games, players will notice that decks are extremely small compared to other games like Magic: the Gathering and Legends of Runeterra. Decks can only hold twelve cards and must contain no less than twelve cards. The small deck size ensures that players will have an ample opportunity to see key cards while they play.
The goal of the game is to have the most points, or “Power”, on two of the three locations on the board. Players place cards at locations at the same time each turn, and flip them over in order to reveal their move. Cards have different effects and varying power levels, adding that strategic element of the game.
After officially releasing on October 18, Marvel Snap is rapidly gaining popularity amongst reviewers and longtime TCG players. Players can hop into the action iOs, Android and PC.
