Officially announced by Kai Cenat on Twitter, the streamer has been banned on Twitch. As of now, there doesn’t appear to be any public reason for his ban.
The news broke on April 18. And as of this article’s writing, Kai Cenat is still banned. The streamer hasn’t provided any more updates regarding the matter, but some fans are speculating the ban may have been due to his reckless driving of his motorcycle on stream.
Kai Cenat may move to Kick
Of course, these rumors are purely that. Until Kai Cenat or an official source reveals more info, only speculation can be made. One of the most popular speculations assume Kai may be getting ready for a transition to Kick, a rival streaming platform.
For one, Kick has been targeting Kai Cenat in an attempt to get him to switch to their platform for quite some time now. Sending him public gifts, Kick has made it quite evident they want the streamer to join their growing number of influencers. Kai Cenat actually opened their gift on stream, revealing a gorgeous pair of custom OffWhite Air Forces.
For those who don’t know Kick is a rival streaming platform that was recently launched. It promotes a higher advertisement split in favor of creators. Their ratio for revenue split is 95-5, in favor of the creator. In other words, when an ad runs on the platform, creators get 95% of the profits. This is on top of the 100% donations the creators already receive.
In comparison, Twitch’s split offers 50-50, while YouTube offers 70-30. Though Kick is still quite small, and therefore a bit of a risk for bigger influencers, these lucrative offers on top of signing bonuses play a big part in the platform’s recent allure.
