Feraligatr Strong Jaws Paldea, Kitakami, and Unova’s Trainers in November
The next tera boss after the 5 star Gengar event is Feraligatr. This Johto native water type will be taking people on in two waves. The first is on November 1 to November 3. The second wave is from November 8 to November 10. While full details have yet to be released on Serebii, it is easy to extrapolate set predictions based on other raid bosses and with information found on Game8.
This Dark tera type Feraligatr most likely has the following stats:
Level: 100
Tera: Dark
Ability: Sheer Force
IVs: All 31
Nature: Not known, but most likely one to increase Attack. Prepare for an Adamant natured opponent.
The following moves below are speculated by writers at Game8:
Crunch
Liquidation
Ice Punch
Psychic Fang
Dragon Dance
Swords Dance
Rain Dance
Sheer Force will take moves with potential additional effects and remove them in order to buff the base power of those moves. So, it would would makes sense to have any physical attacks that can be made even more powerful. While Feraligatr could use both types of attack moves, its attack is better than its special attack.
Ice Punch would be good for it to counter grass and bug types. Psychic Fang is also good for Fighting types. Players should keep posted for updates when the real moveset is revealed.
Potential Counters
Two counters listed on Game8 are Dondozo and Urshifu (Rapid Strike). Dondozo has the Unaware ability that would allow it ignore Feraligatr’s buffs from Sheer Force. Other Pokémon with Unaware would work too so long as they can tank its moves.
The ideal set for Dondozo would be any with Body Press and Iron Defense so the player can make Body Press as powerful as possible. The ideal item is Shell Bell, but players might also be able to get away with using a Metronome if they have good support.
Dondozo’s tera type would be Fighting.
With Urshifu, the strategy revolves around using Bulk Up, Swords Dance, and Drain Punch to build power and whittle Feraligatr down while recovering any health it lost throughout. Both sets will be layed out below.
Dondozo
Level: 100
Tera Type: Fighting
