During the latest Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Home’s release date was finally announced. While the exact date was not given, the new Home for everything Pokemon will be coming out next month, February 2020.
This is a big deal for a number of reasons. As was seen during the Livestream it will allow everyone to bring in their Pokemon from their old Pokemon Banks as well as Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee. This confirms that the application will be the house of every Pokemon anyone has ever caught. With this, it was revealed that it would allow people to bring their old Pokemon into Sword and Shield if the game already supports them.
The new reveal for Pokemon Sword and Shield confirmed that 200+ Pokemon from previous generations would be coming back with the expansions. It is possible that this was the plan all along or they are just playing it like it was. Either way, that will bring the total amount of Pokemon in the game to a little over 600 which is still nearly 400 shy of the full Pokedex.
