Giratina lives in realm parallel to that of the pokemon world. Legends say Giratina can freely traverse both time and space, manipulating both to its demands. By nature, Giratina is very territorial. Therefore, it’ll attack all that approach it. In Legends Arceus, Giratina is responsible for a good portion of the forward moving story. By creating rifts in space and time, Giratina creates Alpha pokemon and driving Noble pokemon berserk. To help players out, this guide will go over how to catch Giratina in Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Be warned, catching Giratina is no easy task.

Prerequisite
To encounter Giratina, players must first finish the mission, Seeking the Remaining Plates. In essence, players must have already caught Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie, Heatran, Cresselia, and Regigias in the post-game. After doing so, talk to Cogita. The player will then need to present three pieces of wood, rewarded with a Pixie Plate thereafter.
Then head up Coronet Highlands, and head up the Celestica Ruins. Upon reaching the summit, the real challenge begins. This particular mission requires players to fight Volo in battle, who has a full party of level 68 pokemon. Come prepared with consumable items and powerful pokemon.
The pokemon in the party are:
Spiritomb (Ghost/Dark)
Togekiss (Fairy/Flying)
Arcanine (Fire/Rock)
Garchomp (Dragon/Ground)
Roserade (Grass/Poison)
Lucario (Fighting/Steel)
Battle
After beating Volo, players are thrown right into fighting Giratina (Ghost/Dragon) in its Altered Form. Keep the allied pokemon health in mind, since this is about to be a long fight.
The fight has two stages. During the first stage, the player cannot catch the pokemon anyway. So don’t worry about being careful, and just knock it out as efficiently as possible. Giratina Origin Form follows up immediately after, completely restoring its health. Once again, don’t worry about catching it at this point.
Capture
After beating Giratina, and going through the mandatory cut scenes, head back to Jubilife Village. Talk to Professor Laventon, who claims he’s seen a huge shadow. Travel to the Cobalt Coastlands, and go to Turnback Cave, near the Spring Path in the Cobalt Coastlands. The fight begins once again, but this time Giratina (Ghost/Dragon) can be caught. Whittle down its health, and use the best pokeballs available.

In Conclusion
Unlike the other mainline pokemon games, Pokemon Legends Arceus allows players to reattempt Legendary encounters if the player accidentally kills them. In other words, don’t worry too much about saving beforehand, and perfecting the catch on the first try. Returning to Jubilife City and then heading back to the area should respawn Giratina. There’s a ton more to do outside of attempting to catch the post-game Legendaries. Hopefully, players are enjoying their play throughs of Pokemon Legends Arceus as much as the Staff members here at The Game Haus.

Legendaries have always been able to refought, or at least since gen 2 if you have knocked them out. You just would need to beat the elite 4 again, for them to come back.
Some of this is blatant misinformation the game does not magically heal you between the battle with Volo and Giritina I would know because the reason I’m here is to see if there was a Pokémon better suited for the fight because half my moms are dead after fighting Volo.
Thanks for letting me know, I saw an online source that said differently and edited the guide accordingly.
