Now that Pokemon Legends Arceus released for a couple of days, some hard working players may have already reached the post game. One of the biggest goals for the post-game is to accomplish every mission and catch every pokemon. And with so many different pokemon to catch, this leaves them wondering about when and how to catch Arceus in Pokemon Legends Arceus. The pokemon is, after all, in the title of the game. But how does one go about catching the god of all pokemon?
Keep in mind, this is post game content. For those who haven’t finished the game and attempting to avoid spoilers, do not read any further.

Long story short, players need to complete the pokedex. This includes catching every Legendary in the post-game. This includes Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, Heatran, Cresselia, Regigigas, Giratina, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, and Enamorus. But keep in mind, that doesn’t mean players are required to 100% the game. Just complete the pokedex. At the end of this long and arduous grind, talk to Professor Laventon.
From then, Professor Laventon will tell the player to venture on forth to the Temple of Sinnoh. Once reaching the temple on top, playing the Azure Flute begins a sequence of cut scenes. The final boss fight begins, presenting Arceus. Come prepared with the strongest, most powerful pokemon available. This boss fight resembles that of the typical JRPGs. In other words, it’s hard. Arceus is, after all, the final pokemon for players to test their mettle.
Don’t worry about trying to catch it during the battle. Once the player wins, Arceus automatically joins the roster. So fight away! In addition, the player receives a Legend Plate as the mission reward. Using this item on Arceus sets its move to Judgement, which adjusts the legendary’s movesets to every weakness of the opponent. Quite the busted reward, but considering this is the end game, a much deserved power.

In conclusion
Players can redo the final boss fight as often as they like. Think of this trial as fighting Red from Soul Silver. The fight actually differs, according to the player’s whim. They actually have the option of rematching against Arceus, Palkia, or Dialga as well.
And with that, congratulations on finishing Pokemon Legends Arceus! There’s a ton more to do outside of attempting to catch Arceus, but reaching this point in the game feels more conclusive than any other activity in the game. Hopefully, players are enjoying their play throughs of Pokemon Legends Arceus as much as the Staff members here at The Game Haus.
