Stress Test Announcement
To test their servers, Warner Bros Games have issued a Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test. To sign up for the stress test gamers must go to Warner Bros Games’ main website. Once on the main website, gamers sign up with the desired Warner Bros. Games Account. Although gamers can choose to sign up there is no guarantee for a spot in this upcoming stress test. It was stated by Warner Bros Game that this is only a chance to participate.
In the Mortal Kombat 1 test, there will be a 1 vs. 1 online multiplayer and a limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against A.I.-only opponents.
As mentioned before not everybody will have an opportunity to participate in this test as it’s not an actual beta session. This test solely is to stress Warner Bros Games’ online infrastructure and identify potential issues ahead of the game’s launch. There will be an actual Mortal Kombat 1 Beta coming sometime in August 2023. The Beta will be available for those who exclusively pre order Mortal Kombat 1.
Sadly for Nintendo Switch and PC users, this stress test will not be available for those platforms. The test is only available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. The good news for Xbox and Playstation players is a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription will not be required to participate in the test but the test will not support cross-platform play.
There is no current release date listed for the stress test.
