The Game Haus will be analyzing the player ratings from Madden 20 of every NFL team. Madden has a daunting task of rating all NFL players and their attributes. While they have the ability to correct some of these rankings with in-season roster updates, there are some issues with some of the initial rankings of players. Here are the  Madden 20 questionable ratings: Los Angeles Chargers.

Keenan Allen- 89

Allen made a video complaining about his rating, as he was not pleased with his 89 overall rating. He was right to complain, as he had a great 2018 season. He had 97 catches for 1,196 yards and six touchdowns, which definitely gives him a reason to want a higher rating.

T.Y. Hilton of the Indianapolis Colts had similar stats to Allen, but was rated two points higher than Madden. He had 76 catches for 1,270 yards and six touchdowns. They at least deserve to be rated the same, but Allen could even have claim to a higher rating.

Adjusted Rating- 92

Derwin James- 86

Although he made the Pro Bowl and was an All-Pro as a rookie, James was given an 86 rating. He racked up 105 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 13 passes defended and three interceptions. James earned much more than that rating as one of the best safeties in the game.

He was tied for the 11th best safety in the game, but should be rated higher given his All-Pro selection. Devin McCourty had a solid season with 82 tackles and two interceptions, but it wasn’t quite as good as James’ season. James deserves at least that rating to start the year.

Adjusted Rating- 90

Desmond King- 86

King has developed into one of the better corners in the game, but was given just an 86 rating for this year’s Madden game. He versatile in the secondary and came up with 10 passes defended and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. He played too well for just an 86 rating.

Desmond Trufant of the Atlanta Falcons had a similar season with 12 passes defended, but no interceptions. He was given an 88 rating. King should have a matching rating to Trufant, if not better.

Adjusted Rating- 88

Russell Okung- 76

The Chargers don’t have the best offensive line, but Okung is very important. He has played solidly at left tackle, excelling in both pass and run blocking. Unfortunately, Madden gave him a 76 rating for his play, which is a little too low.

Okung is tied for the 34th best offensive tackle in the game. While he shouldn’t be among the elite tackles in the game, his rating should be boosted at least a little bit. To make things right for Okung, he only needs a few more points added to his rating.
