Is Star Wars Outlaws the First-Ever Open World Star Wars Game?
At the world premiere back in June, it was revealed by Ubisoft and Xbox via Twitter that Star Wars Outlaws was going to be the first-ever open-world Star Wars Game. At this time, there isn’t an exact image of how big the world may be. The development team has dropped pieces of info that paint a picture of what’s to come.
How Big is Star Wars Outlaws?
Game Director Mathias Karlson states that the planet of Toshara will be larger than the entirety of The Division 2’s map. With this in mind, Creative Director Julian Gerighty also claims that planets might be around the same size as two or three zones in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Furthermore, Gerighty also confirms in an interview with Edge magazine that all of them will be “handcrafted”.
When Does Star Wars Outlaws Release?
At this time, Star Wars Outlaws is currently set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC at some point in 2024. A more precise date is not known yet. As time goes on, players can only hope for more info to come in the future.
