My Hero Ultra Rumble recently passed its first month of release — and has been attempting to promote their recently added new character: Aizawa. But the game’s condition is definitely not in the best state, with multiple game breaking bugs plaguing the experience. This then begs the question, ‘Is My Hero Ultra Rumble Dying?’
Well, the short answer is no. It’s not dying, but it’s definitely not doing well. The game has garnered a committed player base, who log in practically daily. In addition, My Hero Ultra Rumble’s competitive appeal make it fun to practice, as it provides a fulfilling sense of improvement and skill expression.
Analyzing the Game State
The game’s player base definitely dwindled since its original release. Many have moved on, going to their usual staple gameplay experiences, while others have dropped it due to the various bugs. There’s a bug where players get stuck in place until they get attacked. Another bug actually makes the revive badges disappear from the stage. And arguably one of the worst bugs in the game is Aizawa’s entire kit — which is fraught with so many glitches.
The official My Hero Ultra Rumble Twitter account continues to try and promote the game, hoping to get players back on.
“Aizawa is featured in Plus Ultra Roll now!” the Twitter post states. But the issue with this Twitter post is they haven’t addressed or fixed Aizawa’s bugs. This brings up questions regarding the state of the game. Is the broken state of new characters the new expectations for future releases?
Once again, the game is not dying. There is still a committed player base — but this community is growing smaller and smaller. Players are growing more fed up with the lack of bug fixes. Each new season will likely bring a wave of old and new gamers alike. And the state of the game is definitely not good, but My Hero Ultra Rumble is not dying.
