Being able to play a game with a friend or partner is one of the best experiences in gaming. It is, to a certain extent, possibly one of the most important experiences in gaming as well. This was what allowed for the growth of gaming to such an extent. Sometimes if people can’t play they can still be involved by having others watch them in streaming or on a YouTube video. But, the main way people like to play with others is specifically through games that have co-op or multiplayer.
Hogwarts Legacy sadly does not have co op or any multiplayer options. It is strictly a single-player rpg story game.
While this is disappointing, the story is meant to be played alone and be immersive. Having another player might make things a bit too easy and the quests really do not work well for there to be another player. The main reason for this is that the main character is a sort of savior character which means that having another player would make the dialogue not make sense. Along with this, there are no characters that are with the main character for even the majority of the game.
So, all in all, it is probably best for the way that Hogwarts Legacy was made that it is a single-player game.
