Inventory Size
To increase inventory size players will have to find and complete Merlin trials. The size of inventory space changes depending on how many trials are completed. Once players solve two individual Merlin trials, inventory space will be increased by 2 slots. After the first two, a new set of requirements for trials to complete is made.
Here’s a quick rundown of how many Merlin Trials are needed for players to increase their inventory size.
- Inventory Space 1: Solve 2 Merlin Trials
- Inventory Space 2: Solve 6 additional Merlin Trials
- Inventory Space 3: Solve 10 additional Merlin Trials
- Inventory Space 4: Solve 14 additional Merlin Trials
- Inventory Space 5: Solve 20 additional Merlin Trials
The Merlin Trials
There are over 100 Merlin trials to solve in Hogwarts Legacy. To fully maximize inventory space, not all of them need to be completed. Luckily for players, most of the trials are repetitive and follow the same scheme. Here are all the different variations and how to complete each Merlin Trial.
- Reparo Puzzles: Reparo can be used to repair the pillars.
- Block Flipping Puzzles: Cast Flipendo at blocks standing on the pillars, The drawings need to match in order to complete the trial.
- Firefly Puzzles: Cast Lucio at the swarm of fireflies and escort them back to the pillars.
- Pyre Puzzles: Cast Confringo at the pyres in the area.
- Confringo Puzzles: Cast Confringo to destroy the pillars around the area.
- Boulder Puzzles: Wingardium Leviosa levitates the boulder allowing it to be dragged inside the nearby hole
- Stones Puzzles: Cast Basic Cast at the standing stones found in the nearby area.
