Vontaze Burfict wasn’t on the free agent market for long, as he has signed a deal with the Oakland Raiders as first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. The deal will be for one year and worth around $5 million.
The #Raiders are signing LB Vontaze Burfict to a one-year contract, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

Burfict, 28, has been with the Bengals since 2012 after signing as an undrafted free agent. Since that time he has 610 total tackles, four forced fumbles, five fumbles recovered and five interceptions.
He has had trouble playing without getting penalized over his career. He led the league with 13 penalties and eight personal fouls in 2013 and has had similar issues in other years with Cincinnati.
The Raiders had a bad defense last season and signing Burfict will help their linebacking core. Burfict will reunite with one of his former defensive coordinators from Cincinnati in Paul Gunther, who is heading into his second season with the Raiders.
