Washington has been getting rid of players in the wake of the John Wall injury news, as they had already moved Otto Porter Jr. before the trade of Morris to the Pelicans. Their return is Johnson who is averaging 3.7 points in 14.5 minutes per game.
Morris will join the Pelicans after averaging 11.6 points on 43.6% shooting in 34 games for the Wizards this season. He gives the Pelicans a stretch-four, which may indicate that the Pelicans are making progress on a trade for Anthony Davis.
