The 13 weeks of the college football season has certainly brought a lot of excitement. With the more weeks that go on, more news and notes will be put together. Here are some of the things happening around the sport of college football heading into conference championship week.
Mack Brown back to UNC
Mack Brown is leaving ESPN to go back to coaching UNC. He hasn’t coached since 2013, but has been chosen to take over for the fired Larry Fedora. Brown is 67 years old and is one of the most experienced coaches in college football.

N’Keal Harry and Rashan Gary declare for the NFL Draft
Arizona State wide receiver N’Keal Harry posted on social media saying that he was going pro after the season. He will talk to head coach Herm Edwards later to see if he plays in the team’s bowl game.

Michigan defensive lineman Rashan Gary also announced he was going pro in this video, but made no mention of whether he was going to play in the team’s bowl game.
NC State and UNC players fight, get suspended
At the end of the NC State-UNC game, a fight broke out amongst the players.

From the Yahoo Sports article, “Four UNC players — defensive back linebacker Dominique Ross, cornerback Patrice Rene, safety J.K. Britt and defensive tackle Jeremiah Clarke — and three NC State players — defensive back Freddie Phillips, Jr. and offensive lineman Tyler Jones Justin Witt — will be suspended for a half of their team’s next game.
For UNC, that’s next year’s opener vs. South Carolina. For NC State, that will be next week’s game against East Carolina.”
