Within the first few months of Fortnite Chapter 3, the first FNCS has been announced. Information for Fortnite FNCS Chapter 3 season 1 has also been released including dates and the prize pool.
Qualifiers (February 17-20)
The number of qualifiers will stay the same compared to the previous season, however, this time around it will be held in the duos format. The top eight teams from each Qualifier will advance directly to the FNCS Finals.
Semi-Finals (February 24-27)
Following qualifiers, the semi-finals will also work differently with FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1. For any of the ongoing sessions, players will either need to win a game or be one of the top six most consistent teams during that play session to advance to the Finals.
Only the top 50 teams from the Series Point Leaderboard will compete during Session 1 in each region. Session 1 will consist of five matches, with 11 teams from this Session will advance to the Finals
Session 2 will run with the 51st-61st teams on the leaderboard. The session will also run five matches and advance 11 teams to the Finals.
Session 3 will have the 62nd-72nd teams on the leaderboard competing across six matches and advance 12 total teams to the Finals.
Finals (March 5-6)
The FNCS Finals will play the same as past seasons with one new addition, the match point variable. A team can end the competition early game by earning 500 total points and 3 Victory Royales. Once a team has met both of these conditions they will be declared FNCS Champions. In the result that no team has met both of these requirements in the duration of 12 games, the Finals will play out traditionally as it would as in previous seasons, MatchPoint will be extremely challenging to achieve and is only reserved for a completely dominant performance for the first iteration.
PRIZE POOL
The FNCS seasonal prize pool will have a $3,008,500 shared prize pool distributed to the different regions.
EU – $1,362,500
NA East – $637,500

FNCS Community Cup
