The 2021-22 NFL season has only one week left. Bye weeks have been over and the fantasy leagues that are still active are in their fantasy championship. This time of year COVID-19 is running rampant which makes it important to have backup options on your fantasy roster. Also since a majority of teams have clinched their playoff spots teams will rest their starters this week. On top of all of that, injuries are continuing to mount up. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the Fantasy Football Week 18 quarterback rankings.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who should definitely be in your lineup that week because of the combination of matchup and talent. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and could repeat the production most weeks.
Starter- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
Low-End Starter- a player who should be started in most lineups but can possibly bottom out and finish below average on a given week. A high ceiling play in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Streamer- a player who could be a perfect replacement for a starter for a week or two. Starting this player may not win you your lineup but they will make sure that your production out of that position will not lose you your matchup either. Also a viable option in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Deep League Streamer- a player who could fill a void at a position in a deeper league. Their ceiling may be close to average point production at the position but their floor is enough to get through the week. A reasonable player to have in your lineup in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday
QB7 Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson suffered a low-ankle sprain that held him out of Baltimore’s games the past three weeks. He reportedly had a “pronounced limp” in limited practice last week. He missed practice Wednesday because of this injury. Tyler Huntley would get the start if Jackson misses this week’s game. He would slot in at QB13 between Kirk Cousins and Ryan Tannehill.
QB8 Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
Justin Fields has healed from his ankle injury but was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Andy Dalton would get the start for Fields against Minnesota if Fields isn’t activated for the game. Dalton would slot in at QB18 between Ben Roethlisberger and Carson Wentz.
QB16 Jimmy Garoppolo San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo has a UCL tear and a fracture in his right thumb. That injury held him out of last week’s game against the Houston Texans. If he was to miss this week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams Trey Lance would likely get the start for San Francisco. Lance become the QB16 which is the slot currently occupied by Garoppolo.
QB17 Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers could be held out of this week’s game against the Detroit Lions because the Packers have already locked up the one seed in the NFC. It would be ill-advised to play Rodgers anyways in leagues that are not 14+ teams or two-quarterback leagues because he will definitely rest early in this game if he plays. If he was to be held out completely then Jordan Love would move up to QB18 between Ben Roethlisberger and Carson Wentz.
QB20 Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Jared Goff has been dealing with a knee injury. He has missed the past two games for the Lions. Goff was limited in practice Wednesday because of his injury. If Goff does not play this week against the Green Bay Packers then Tim Boyle will slot in at QB27 between Sam Darnold and Mac Jones.
QB29 Drew Lock, Denver Broncos
Drew Lock was limited in practice Wednesday with a shoulder injury. If he was to miss this week against the Kansas City Chiefs then Brett Rypien would slot in at QB32 between Tua Tagovailoa and Jake Fromm.
