Jacksonville has re-signed their resurgent tight end to a brand new, longer-term deal. Evan Engram has reportedly been signed to a three-year, $41.25 million deal with $24 million in guaranteed money. This comes after a career year.
Engram himself tweeted that he was “home” after the deal was made public.
Engram was drafted by the Giants back in 2017, where he got a great start during his rookie season. In his following four seasons, he garnered a reputation as an up-and-down player with issues pulling in the ball at the point of catch. He was not resigned following the 2021-2022 season.
Last season, his first in Jacksonville, he played in all 17 games, starting 14 of them. He caught 73 passes on 98 targets for 766 yards and four touchdowns. All of those numbers were his highest since his rookie season.
