This Friday, July 31, Team Liquid will launch LQD_V3, the next wave of its LQD apparel line, at 12pm PT. This premium collection aims to expand excitement for their apparel to a broader audience. Each piece features a set of coordinates, corresponding to headquarters in Santa Monica, California and Utrecht, Netherlands. Each piece also features the iconic Liquid chevrons.
LQD_V3 will include the latest bone white and mauve editions of the LQD hoodie ($85). LQD_3 also includes a bone-white short sleeve tee ($35), and a black long sleeve tee ($45).
Only the short sleeve tee will feature the organization’s horse logo, as this collection decouples from its traditional esports branding.
The hoodies are 100% mid-weight cotton French Terry with asymmetrical dual-layered zip pockets. The shirts are 100% mid-weight cotton and highlighted by custom prints and raw-edged hems.
Although Liquid has increased the number of LQD units, fans should expect the stock to sell out fast. In their Apparel 2020 update Team Liquid explained, “We’ve taken immediate steps to improve the shop experience at the technical level and will continuously optimize all components of our store from design to checkout. Ultimately, we envision LQD products as limited so selling out quickly is not necessarily a bad thing in our eyes but we’ll be analyzing the data from each drop and making adjustments through the year.”
Travis Anderson is Team Liquid’s Global VP of Apparel and Commerce, and head of the LQD line. He has more than 20 years of experience in the apparel space. He states, “LQD_V3 is special because it’s representative of Team Liquid’s expanding ambition in apparel. Just like we’ve leveled up LQD’s production in V3—new manufacturer, better fabric, more pieces—we’re growing as a team behind the scenes, leaning into our apparel efforts to reach audiences in and beyond esports.”
You will find the LQD line, as well as Liquid x Marvel, Dark Horse, Liquid Galaxy, jerseys, and the new Blue plushie at store.teamliquid.com.
